Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain.

Let’s explore, learn, and make some great memories together!
My name is Sasha Rojnik — I was born in Slovenia, which at the time was part of Yugoslavia.
I’m old enough to remember growing up under the communist system, so I know first-hand what life was like — the good, the bad, and everything in between.
Since 2001, I’ve been guiding tours through Central and Eastern Europe, and I’ve seen these countries change in remarkable ways. Many of the places we’ll visit were once behind the Iron Curtain. Today, they’ve embraced modern Europe — each in their own way. Poland, for example, has become a poster child for economic success, and in cities like Warsaw, the transformation over the past 20 years is astonishing. Prague tells another kind of story — one of preservation, pride, and quiet reinvention.
This part of Europe is complex, full of contrasts, and deeply fascinating. I’ve followed its transformation closely — not only as a guide, but as someone who grew up nearby and remembers what things were like before. During our journey, I’ll share observations, context, and personal memories that I hope will help you better understand the places we visit — how they’ve changed, what they’ve held onto, and why that matters.
